Oregon-based sneaker brand Nike is reportedly gearing up to unveil its vacation-themed version of the Nike Dunk Low style. Nike decorated the shoe with a classic red and green plaid fabric in honor of the holiday season. The brand new Dunk Lows, known as “Plaid”, are set to rock the celebrations in the coming months.
The limited-edition “Plaid” colorway of the Nike Dunk Low silhouette will supposedly enter the sneaker world in the coming weeks. Designed with Christmas-themed plaid patterns, these high stockings will be priced at $120 a pair. Dunkheads will be able to purchase them from online stores within Nike’s SNKRS app and its select outlets.
Nike Dunk Low Plaid is wrapped in white leather panels with red and green plaid overlays
The shoe brand never takes chances and leaves no room for compromise when it comes to new styles and color combinations of the Nike Dunk Low silhouette. The label’s creative team at the swoosh has been actively working on new adaptations of Dunk Low since the start of 2022. This has resulted in stunning variations like “Chlorophyll”, “Quilted Wheat”, “Bumblebee” and “Chenille Swoosh”, for to name just a few. .
After running away with spring releases, the label is now gearing up for the fall and Christmas 2022 season, and as part of its fall collection, Nike will be releasing Tartan Plaid Dunk Low.
The entire shoe comes dressed in a White/Black-White-University Red-Stadium Gray-Light Silver color scheme. Although most of the uppers are covered in pure white leather, hits of green and red checkered fabrics are in keeping with the theme of these shoe designs. Black leather overlays are also added on top to further accentuate the look.
With its Tartan plaid fabric seen on many overlays, this Dunk Low edition departs from the silhouette’s typical two-tone design. The aesthetics of the shoe transports us to Scotland. While green plaid fabric is used for the mudguards and areas adjacent to the eyelets, red fabric is used for the heel counters.
The eyelets have a more neutral Stadium Gray pattern. These gray elements highlight the premium white leather panels that are used for the perforated toes, for the midfoot areas and the collar regions.
The layout of the lace-ups and pull tabs add a more monochromatic touch, although the Nike logo on top is swathed in black and red. A black leather swoosh runs down from the lateral midfoot to the heel tab. These rear heel tabs feature similar black tones with Nike lettering embroidered on them in red. Finally, white midsoles and off-white outsoles complete the shoes.
Readers interested in these new plaid Nike Dunk Lows can enjoy them in the coming weeks as they are expected to launch during the holiday season. They will be offered through Nike’s SNKRS app as well as select partner sellers for $120.
